Thinking of hiring a freelance copywriter? Here are some useful FAQs covering everything you need to know about hiring a copywriter.
Who are you?
I’m Annette Rizzo, a Melbourne-based freelance copywriter.
What services do you offer?
I offer copywriting, content writing, AI-Generated Copy Reviews and proofreading and editing services.
What can you write?
I write blogs, website copy, marketing and promotional materials, awards submissions.social media posts, reports etc.
How much do you charge?
I charge a flat fee per project rather than by the hour. Once we’ve discussed your project, I will put together a quote outlining the price as well as what’s included in the price. What I quote you is what I charge so there will never be any surprises when you get your final invoice.
There are a few things I need but I don’t know where to start?
Your project may have many elements and it can often be confusing to decide where to start or if the easiest task should be done first.
Once you’ve decided what you need, we’ll get together to discuss each element and its priority. From there, we’ll put together a plan outlining the order of each element and the timeline.
I already have something written, can you just edit it?
Absolutely! I offer editing services and I’m happy to review what you’ve written and make suggestions that will help improve your copy.
What information will you need from me?
During out initial meeting, we will discuss your project. Once we’ve worked out the details of your project, I will be able to tell you what information I need from you. I will supply you with a checklist that you can work through to make sure I have everything I need.
What’s included in the quote?
When I supply your quote it will outline what is included. Most quotes will include copywriting, the number of included revisions and a final proofread. Any additional requirements we discussed in our briefing meeting will also be included.
Do you offer revisions?
Yes. I usually offer up to two rounds of revisions.
How soon can you deliver the final version?
Every project is different, and the size and scope of your project will determine how long it will take to complete. When we have our initial briefing meeting, we will discuss timelines and roughly how long it should take to deliver a draft followed by the final version.
What are your payment terms?
Once you’ve decided to go ahead with your project, I will issue an invoice for a 50% deposit. I will commence work on your project, once the deposit is received. You will receive an invoice for the final amount owing 14 days after receiving the first full draft or once final sign off on your project has been given (whichever occurs first).
Where are you based?
I’m based in Melbourne, but I work with clients all over Australia and overseas.
Can we meet in person?
If you’re based in Melbourne, I’m happy to set aside a time to meet you in person however I’m happy to chat over the phone or via video call.
